PasteVault (“the App”) is a privacy-first clipboard manager for iPhone and iPad. Your privacy is fundamental to our design. This policy explains what data the App handles and how it is protected.
PasteVault does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with us or any third parties. All clipboard data you copy — including text, links, images, and other content — is stored locally on your device only.
Your clipboard history, including text clips, URLs, and images, is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. We do not have access to this data at any time.
PasteVault reads your device clipboard to save copied content to your local history. This happens entirely on-device. Clipboard content is never transmitted to external servers. The keyboard extension requires “Allow Full Access” to read the clipboard and store clips in the shared on-device database.
The PasteVault keyboard extension runs on your device and accesses the clipboard to capture copied content. Full Access is required for the keyboard to communicate with the main app’s shared storage. No keystrokes are recorded, logged, or transmitted. The keyboard only reads the system clipboard.
When you copy images, they are stored locally on your device. Images may be resized to optimize storage. All processing happens entirely on-device. Images are never uploaded to any server.
PasteVault automatically deletes old clips based on your configured retention settings. Sensitive items (if detected) are deleted sooner. All deletion happens locally on your device.
PasteVault offers an optional one-time purchase managed entirely through Apple’s App Store. Payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information.
The share extension allows you to save content from other apps into PasteVault. All shared content is stored locally on your device and never transmitted externally.
The home screen widget displays your recent clips. This data is read from local on-device storage. No data is transmitted to display the widget.
PasteVault is not directed at children under 13. Since we do not collect any data, no children’s data is collected.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
